Wellow™ Group holds Job and Training Fair for Migrants.

In collaboration with the High Commission for Migrations, through the Support Office for Professional Insertion, Higher Education and Qualification (GAIPESQ), Wellow™ is holding an Employment and Training Fair for the migrant population.

In Portuguese society the percentage of foreigners is 5.2% of the national population. There were 630,000 workers who in 2021 contributed 1,500 million euros to Social Security. They are the ones who meet many of the needs for professionals in sectors such as agriculture, hospitality and catering.

Over the past 20 years, the working migrant community has played a key role in building the history of the Wellow™ Group. Today, on our operational front, we have over 2,000 migrant workers. This is, therefore, a topic that is high on the group's agenda and that makes room for a set of actions throughout the year, in which this event is included.

It is carried out in collaboration with the ACMat the premises of the CNAIMThe event will take place in Lisbon on the 18th and will be attended by Header™, Talenter™, Knower™ e Futurcabo which together have more than 120 open job positions in the areas of Building and Construction, Hospitality, Restoration, Logistics, Industry, Contact Centre, Health, Telecommunications, Cleaning e Events Promotion. Simultaneously, two employability workshops - Get2Work - with the aim of facilitating active job search tools and enhancing job placement for participants.

Tatiana Vale, Chief Marketing Officer for corporate social responsibility, says that "at Wellow™ Group we believe in a labour market open to all talents, regardless of their ethnicity, age, gender, nationality, origin, political, religious or sexual orientation, barriers of expression or physical limits. As the socially active and responsible employer that we are, we decided, in partnership with the High Commission for Migrations, to carry out an event that aims to contribute to the integration and sustainability responses of the migrant community, in an area of life that is of special importance: employment."
